The rains have come to renew the traditional storms among us. They are here to claim back which is rightfully theirs. Animals are back from the southern states and countries and back to reform the land into what i like to say a wonderland. It has been a barren land in the past months but spring is here to re shape the land into one which is green and living. New life will flourish among us and spring will take order to the once barren snowy land. Nevertheless i did like to visit the winter wildlife and cool off from the summer but i have to say spring will have to be the best, melting the snow to begin another year of warmth and solitude. I really wish i would live in Florida where it is nice and warm.

Since it is Spring i went to visit the park to see how the snow was melting, and it was melted alright. It was wet like a swamp and muddy too. I didn't really care and trudged through it. After about 20 minutes i caught a glimpse of a brown figure in the yellow dormant grass. I didn't know what it was until it took to the skies and screeched Killdee...Killdee and i knew the killdeer have returned. I tracked them for about an hour and a half and found that they fly other places for food. When they weren't there i was finding where they might make their nest. I looked everywhere and looked back to the spot where they made it last year and found a dug-out hole with small rocks layed at the bottom. This is where they would nest until the end of summer.

Spring

It's close to spring now and i have noticed alot of animal activity going on. One day i just picked up a pencil, thought of some ideas and here i am now with 70 pages so far. This story is about 4 clans: WindClan, Earth Pack, WaterClan and FireClan. In each of these clans there is a species of animal Windclan= birds of prey, Earthpack= Wild dogs, Waterclan= Bears and Fireclan=Wild Cats. These 4 different animal species compete for territory, food and the right to mate. Each Clan had a leader followed by a deputy and a medic. The others are the guardians and smiths. These animals are trained for the unexpected from a battle to a war. Needless to say each Clan has different rules but there is one that all must obey and that is when they all meet under a full moon to congratulate each other and ask how each are doing. All of them must not fight and get along for 2 nights until going back to the all out battle between them. This book is a violent but action packed novel that goes against anything imaginable in the world around us. My book is packed with amazing details also including simile/metaphors. If you like books that have action this might be a book for you. But wait there is more. Not only is it full of action but it has some science fiction and educational parts but it is not all like that. I mixed fiction and non-fiction into it so it could be real but you would have to be an idiot to do it and be an animal which of course is not possible. But anyway this book is especially good for people that like the book Warriors, Guardians of Ga'Hoole and Good Dog.

Winter Warms

Now it is the month of march and the temperature is increasing to the 40's. Snow is finally melting and it all seemed like a century since it was spring but here we are in the month of march thanking for the warmth we received already. Well i came to write about Global Warming. Does it exist? Can we stop it if it is in affect? Is it life threatening? These are questions to consider. One thing i know is that scientists have told us that they have been making up fake data to support Global Warming. Now i do agree it has some affect like pollution but really the earth just goes through cycles. Like during the Ice age, there wasn't any factories or industry to cause it, it's just the way everything works. Like now it is warmer. Now you can see that the earth goes from cool to warm then back to cool. Now i don't have 100 percent back-up to it but this seems real. Global warming to some means nothing , to others its future...

Coyote Woods

Well its been a while since i last typed because i was catching up on some things. Really there isnt much to write about for the past months. I now have a laptop and video camera which i will be happy to use in the warmer season ahead. I absolutely hate winter for it's intense cold days and icey, snowy winters. The only reason i like this climate is for the wild life which is rich in birds and deer that are pretty active in the nearby woods by my house. Tomorrow which is January 3, 2010 i will be going into the woods

for an exbidition to the abandoned coyote den. It was inhabited 2 years ago when there was more but the workers nearby drove them out to an area which is in between 5 and 6 mile road and the territory now expands to middlebelt and Inkster road. My step-dad which hit a deer with his semi truck said the deer was around this area. If you are in the Metro-Detroit area and heard about the deer that crashed threw a Coney island came from my woods which are called Coyote Woods or more mentioned as Deadmans because its in the back of a cemetary. These coyotes and deer are becoming less dense as people keep expanding much needed land for construction projects.

The next Day...

Hello it is now January 3 and it is a face blistering day and as cold as ever and probably as windy as its been this winter. I went to my friend which has spotted coyotes in the past years said they are active during winter in search of food. Well it turns out he was in the woods and it was probably impossible to find him in a stretch of woods that is the size of 3 football fields, and that is only the width of the woods. The whole area is probably an estimated 7 acres from back to front. Unfortunately i could not go there in 10 degrees weather so it will be poseponed to January 9th which is this following saturday. Its been a while since i was last on and that is because i had to help with the Humane Society. If you see the advertisement on the page please click on it and just follow the directions. If you do this it is much appreciated by Animal Organizations around the world and you will be helping with greenhouse gases. Every click is one more step to helping our earth in a way words cant describe. So i hope you make the decision to help us...more writing soon to come!

Owl City - "Fireflies" (Album Version) w/ Download! As soon as i put him in it wasloveat first sight for my Yellow parakeet, Bliss. They got along so great that they ended up following each other around. A couple days later i noticed some (Mating Rituals) gong on in the happiness of their cage. I've already noticed the regurgitating stage of which the male regurgitates or vomits in his partners mouth. Also I've noticed that Bashfull was showing off his head bobbing moves and trying to stand taller than the female but she didn't notice. But i think they will soon have a family and will be selling them to people worthy to have a pet parakeet and treat it with love and care, not cruelty and abuse.

It seems that my new parakeet Bashfull is so tame and my yellow parakeet Bliss is skittish but aggressive. Ever since i got her she was a pill. She would bite until you let go of her.(IF YOUR PARAKEET BITES YOU This IS WHAT YOU SHOULD DO:If it does bite you must flick it on the beak every time it bites you. If it bites you two times flick it two times, bites you 3 times, well you now what to do. This is an Affective way to punish or take control of your pet. Its not abuse. Sometimes you have to be mean to be loving and caring owner to your pet. The more a parakeet bites you and it finally knows you don't care or is not bothered with it it'llfinally quit. If you spend 3 hours a day with your pet(s) your be able to teach it tricks such as speak. Oh and by the way only male parakeets can speak.

If you are buying or looking for a parakeet and are interesting to have a certain gender of parakeet this show total the difference: Males have either Blue or purplish Ceres's and females range in variety of, White, tan or brown which might be a bit crispy. But really the only way to know for Sher is to have a blood test on your pet. It might seem unusual but males can lay eggs as well as females.

If you want to breed your parakeets it is essential to provide a nesting box, or make one yourself. if you are buying one it has to be big enough so that the chicks don't fall out. Also if you want to breed parakeets these are tips to remember: NEVER bring a dog or cat into the room, going in once will make the bird uncomfortable and less likely to breed. The seasons also effect there breeding. In fall and winter they are less likely to lay eggs, but they can breed anytime of the year as long as you provide a male and nesting box or nest of some kind.

Notes to remember:

1.Do not bring pets into or near the cage, cause this can cause them to feel unsafe and not breed.

2.if you add a male or female they wont always like each other.

3.Do NOT let them have more than one brood a year this is demanding on their bodies, its draining to produce eggs it takes up. It'll suck nutrients from the body and calcium from the bones to supply the egg whats needed.

4. If your keet is at the bottom of the cage for a long period it is probably Severely sick and have to take it to a avian vet right away. When you see this it means its severely sick. You can NOT tell when your parakeets becomes sick. This is so because in the wild they wont act like it at all. They wont leave their flock or if it was sick a predator would picked it up. Most of the time they show normal activity, then it will get worse and worse and finally they die.

5.If fed the same seed diet day after day might not be only boring but it will become malnourished or loss in nutrients. So make sure to provide greens. Do NOT give them Avocados, apple, cherry seeds, junk food. Even a little amount of toxin can kill them. You have to remember that parakeets have small bodies and even a small does will kill them. Chocolate and dairy re Bad too. Parakeets are lactose in tolerant and eat very little dairy.

6.If you are interested in buying your second parakeet and want to teach the first one to talk. I'll hold back for a couple months because the bird will lose focus and not concentrate with a friend in his new home. If this happens just move it to a new cage if you have one. After you taught him to talk, you can by the second one. Normally in the wild they fly and live in flocks of thousands, so they will love to have a friend or even mate!

Killdeer vs People

Now everyone knows if you see a baby bird don't touch it the mom wont care for it. Well in the case of the Killdeer that is not true. But that doesn't give you the excuse to handle the eggs or chicks that most people do. Leave them alone. A month ago on the 5th or 6th of July I noticed a lot of activity with the Killdeer and Local Population and boom it hit me. They found the nest. The reason i was so nervous is that most kids in the sub are seven to nine years of age so they think "Hey look eggs lets play with them" and they pick them up juggle them then boom crack they break the chick dies the mother bird gets pissed off. that day when i noticed it i went over to the site. When they saw me they tried to hide them and one kid cracked the egg. I told this story before but i brought it home hatched it and other things you probably read off my recent blogs. But after a month now i haven't seen even a cheap from a Killdeer and now i know they must be dead or gone to a new home. So if you see a killdeer and its is cheeping like a bat out of hell get out of its way because either it has eggs or they have chicks which is even more a hazard 'cause they blend into the brush of the grass and then crush their stepped on and i know how its like when i was at the park when an unfortunate Killdeer chick went in front of a kid and crush the hole eye of the bird popped out. It was still living so i had to.....cut its head off. Sounds nasty which is true but ends its misery. But on a good note the others did survive and are now starting new lives as parents...

Charadrius vociferus (Killdeer)
Isn't just beautiful looking at the leaves growing and baby birds cheeping in the spring and watching the frogs come out of their borrows and crawl out onto land. But for me i love watching the Killdeer come back from down South and come back from what i call it their "vacation" and have another generation of killdeer. I love seeing them hatch out running into fully fluffed chicks. So amazing. I first learned about these plover is when i witnessed a horrific accident happening to a mother killdeer. It is so terrible that you might cry. Here is the story: I was at meadows park at the construction area and i was just taking pictures of the scenery when i witnessed it. The teen was obviously speeding and in an instinct the killdeer mother died. It was so sad. But i took the babies in my care. Unfortunately there were 2 babies. I only managed to capture one. I brought it home and cared for it for the night. Then did some research on it. At the time i didn't know what it was thought it was a Quail. So i told my mom and she called a bird center in Ann Arbor, Michigan. They said it was a Killdeer. So i looked up killdeer and found that they eat meal worms. Well of course i didn't have ant meal worms. That night it cheeped and cheeped all night long and i stayed up. The next morning i got ready for school.

The day I came home I realized the baby killdeer was gone. I asked my mom that she had dropped the baby killdeer off at the bird center. I was sad but also glad that the baby killdeer was gone to a nice and loving home.

Six months later- I received a letter from the Bird Center saying the bird is alive and they were going to release it the next day. I was so excited that it lived. Earlier on i doubted that it lived but now i knew that it was living a new life, a new beginning, a new generation. If you want to learn more go to YouTube and go to talkdudes45's channel and look up my killdeer videos.

Animal Forum

Hello animal lovers and viewers. This is my first blog on blogger.com. Have you ever seen a Killdeer? It's a type of Plover. Killdeers live and nest on the ground. It's basically just a little carved hole with pebbles. Nothing special. But one day of July 2, 2009, exactly i week ago from today I incountered 4 speckeled eggs, and right away i knew they were Killdeer eggs. This was't the first time i incountered them. Last year i witnessed a car run over a mother Killdeer. I desided to take it in and the next morning. My mom drove it to Bird Center of Washtenaw County, Inc and a year later got a letter back saying it survived and now is set free to live her life as a mother. Unfortunately they are on a very low supply of mealworms so i'm going to donate 10 dollors to the cause.
Well anyway a hole mob of kids approached the speckeled eggs (names not said) they didn't know that below them there was a clutch of 4 eggs so blended in that they almost stepped on them.i had to cover them with my shoe so they wouldn't step on them. Of course they saw them. They picked them up and literally tosses one back and forth like a ball of catch, but with a hatching egg! They then handed it to two teen girls. They screamed and tossed them in the air like a hot potato. Finally I tryed to get it away from them. Instead they cracked the shell. although the baby chick was in the process of hatching! Well I didn't know that at the time. I thought it was dead when the egg shell cracked open when the chick was developing. I took it the cracked egg home. On the way I thought i heard a "cheep" and then thought:"naa just imagining things." Then i heard it again. Then i knew it was alive!! I took it home and told my mom. i said it was cheaping, but she said i was imagining it. So i put the egg in a shoe box with easter egg stuffing and a light over it. I went out to fetch warmer things for it. When i left my mom went to have a look at it.
When i came back my mom said... "go in your room, your Killdeer is cheeping." And i said
"Told you."
So i went in and it was cheeping like mad! It took me a half an hour to help the chick out of the egg. It sat there to dry off. My mom said go put the pore thing back. i took the shoe box and walked it back to the mother Killdeer. (Killdeers, if you touch them the mom will come back!) So they met and i just checked to see if the others were hatching as well. I looked at the eggs and sure enough small cracks in the egg told me they were hatching. I left and had happy dreams that night. In the morning i went back to the site. All hatched!. With Killdeer they are born with their eyes open because they spend 3 weeks in thier shells, one week more than birds like Robins and Sparrows. I counted them 4 babies and mine was covered in fur. i could tell becauseit had more fur then the others. This conludes this Blog.
